These life lessons have been on Chris Swain's desk for about seven years, so use them as a starting point and feel free to add to this list. Words of wisdom are often mistaken for useless words until there compiled in a list like this one. Okay, enough with the candy-coated quotations of forgotten business leaders and inspirational sayings of long dead presidents and celebrities. Here are 20 real life lessons we all know but have never gotten around to writing down — until now.

Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama & John Edwards Subprime Real Estate Loan Bailout Scheme

For those of you that have been successful real estate investors may be shocked by the proposed bailout that Democratic Presidential candidates announced on August 7, 2007.  Senator Hillary Clinton wants to create a 4-point plan to help people avoid foreclosures by setting up a billion dollar fund. John Edwards wants to ban balloon loans. Senator Barack Obama wants the nation's senior economist to convene a Home Owner Preservation Summit to to stem the foreclosure tide. Can you believe this nonsense? Having first hand experience and being trained as an economist, that's the most ridiculous proposal on the table. Harry Truman's famous saying that he "wanted a one handed economist," because of economist's hedging "on the other hand" statements whenever confronted on an issue.

This is prompted by a 800 point "mortgage melt-down" on Wall Street. Isn't that just peachy? The taxpayers are being asked to bailout

Hold onto your wallets people. Do you really want to give this woman the power of the purse?

to "help the people most affected by predatory lending practices, the mostly "poor and minorities"

Polls Are Not News — Or Are They?

Have you noticed how often the AP, Reutors and countless other news organizations do nothing but report surveys, polls or other meaningless statistics and actually consider it "news worthy?" If you see something that doesn't look like it deserves the beat it got, please run forward it to my desk. Do you think a poll of these useless topics is worth your time? Time is money and wealth is knowledge, but junk is junk.

The Article Guy Jeff Herring's Article Marketing Challenge

Jeff Herring finally pushed me to the edge. The gloves are off. After listening to the Article Guy for almost three months I'm convinced that there is money to be made by using articles to promote you, your site, your products, affiliate products, or just about anything else you can think of.

Jeff is brilliant at his craft. However, some people are just to hard-headed to listen to what he preaches. Can you believe that this guy is an article producing machine? He created over 1000 articles in no time flat. Well, that's if you consider in about a year's time he wrote and has them working for him 24/7. Can I hear a cha-ching? Talking about building wealth that works for you while you sleep! Don't we all need that problem?

Guess what? You can usually catch this article marketing maven weekly on his free teleseminar series. If you listen to him you will soon realize this guy has some serious credentials. Jeff's got some great mentors. I should know because Alex Mandossian has taught me more than a thing or two, and Tom Antion is the king of public speaking. So when Jeff preaches the gospel of article marketing, take it to heart this guy can help you to spread the news.

If you have ever heard him speak, then you've heard him say, "you can have your account set up at www.ezinearticles.com before your head hits the pillow tonight." When you think about how easy it is to build wealth by writing articles about things your passionate about — its a no brainer. Are you up for the challenge? Guess what I'm doing before I hit the hay tonight — join me on that journey.

Charles Schwab Had It Right — A Little Imagination Goes A Long Way

“To carry on a successful business a man must have imagination. He must see things as in a vision, a dream of the whole thing.”

Swain On Sabbatical: An Explanation

Although there is a long history of sabbaticals, I guarantee you haven’t spent your time like this unless you are either super rich, a world traveler, a seminar junkie, a university professor, or you are a really inquisitive and determined individual! People just don’t have the drive to get the answers they are looking for or take the time to just think. Yes, that is a weird concept, but read on and learn the secrets of the path to true wealth.

While in biblical times, sabbatical years occurred every seventh year. During that year there was no farming, people in the fields just rested and revitalized. For some reason, the number seven is a magical number … Hmm, sounds like a new posting topic to me. Anyway, Swain On Sabbatical (SOS) focuses on a particular pursuit of one of the seven aspects of wealth.

For centuries sabbaticals have become tradition in religious and academia. Tenured professors and clergy have been granted sabbatical leave for regeneration. They have typically used the time for travel and for research. Swain On Sabbatical is unique in the sense that it focuses on self-improvement endeavors while enduring the rigors of academic, intellectual or mundane exercises with humor and panache.

The rejuvenation experiences from these sabbaticals can bring spiritual, psychological, or any other enhancement of one’s wealth. The journey into delving into a specific quest can be seven seconds to seven years. Okay, a sabbatical’s purpose in this respect is to tackle a query, experience an event, explore a new phenomenon, research an idea, take a course, read a book, write a book, or just relax.

Get WEALTHY on my dime. If you don’t have the time, money or patience to learn how to get rich, just join me on Swain On Sabbatical.
