Jim Edwards Webinar King, Internet Marketer, Expert Author … Inspiring Mentor
Jim Edwards I gotta tell you … You rock! Jim is the real deal, unlike many other wanna be internet gurus, when it comes to providing great content with excellent insight. Jim's famous publication The Net Reporter is a must have for any aspiring internet entrepreneur. However, his candid and often controversial approach to explain boring and technical business profit generating ideas is what makes listening to him both entertaining and educational.
Okay Chris Swain get to the point. What's the deal with this Jim Edwards public rant your on? Well, if that's your question, then you're missing the point … Big Time! Over the last several months I have participated in dozens of the Webinar King's live events. I gotta tell you if you haven't personally attended one of the self proclaimed Webinar King's, webinars either live or recorded, you have not experienced the true impact, value and potential of the internet.
Recently, while working from the desk of Chris Swain, enjoying the webinar king live in action sharing the chronological history of his success, it inspired me to take action. Jim presented a very compelling, yet endearing story of his struggles, successes and sagas of his own personal story. It was real. It was heart felt. It was motivating and inspiring. Most of all, Jim illustrated though his own story how to leverage your weaknesses and turn them into strengths. He concluded, that to dramatically reduce that time frame you need to model yourself after other successful people and do what they do.
At the end of the webinar, Jim the genius that he is encouraged folks to send a response and feedback. After a bit of self-reflection, Jim's message prompted and inspired the following email conveying to him what impression it left working from Chris Swain’s desk. Check it out and let me know what you think.
Hey Jim,
Thanks so much for the inspiration from tonight's webinar. You are awesome and a true “good guy” internet role model. I had the pleasure of meeting you recently at Big Seminar 9, (I even got my picture taken with you) your advise has helped me get to I guess your level two – thanks a million. Well, although I haven’t gotten that “million dollar internet empire” bank rolled just yet, because of mentors like you, it’s just a matter of time.
Your personal story tonight is really inspiring. It gives people like me the reassurance and continued confidence that I have believing in my products, business model and most importantly myself.
I have a couple of off the wall questions for you. You’re a funny and witty chap so I hope you appreciate the jest of a couple of my inquires. When you went on that first walk around the block, and you had your first epiphany and then later that evening went for another walk, and again you had another life-changing experience: That sounds like a system to me, what gives? So whenever you say it took you that long to finally realize you needed a system, Jim takes a walk. Great way to clear the head and get some exercise. But your block has a damn (sorry) kick butt prophecy.
You needed to identify the need for a system, those walks sound like a real moneymaker! Have you had any more revelations while taking that stroll? Here’s my idea, I need to shed a few pounds, the niche I’m thinking of is weight loss and internet marketing. We all seem to get a bit thick in the mid-section. So in the spirit of the 4-hour workweek and all the multi-taskers out there I propose Jim’s Journey.
The second question is an interesting joint venture concept about selling that “magical marathon walk” because if your block is a block to be reckoned with, like you said “you should dominate that pathway.” You don’t want any competition from others coming in and deteriorating that block’s mojo. So what if, you sell the event and you don’t even need to be there – walk Jim’s block. You can walk your block (i.e. “Take A Stroll With Jim” while listening to it on an ipod).
How much will that cost to walk that walk and hear Jim talk? It’s sort of like another Virginia mentor, Tom Antion, watch over his shoulder when you go to his retreat (his house). You can have people stay in a hotel, but walk in “Jim’s shoes” and learn about Internet marketing. Yeah, I know it sounds like Moses leading to the new Messiah, but sounds like good “controversial” copy to me. Isn’t that what you preach?
Lastly, are there any houses for sale on your block because walking that plot sounds like the Holy Grail to me. My system would be to walk that block 24/7 baby. Jim, thanks again for another great information webinar.

P.S. I hope this will be my “Jim Edwards” magic email helping me to the path of success that you had with Yanik Silver.
P.P.S. I’m so committed, and on a new mission, I promise myself I will send you these emails after every webinar until I get the Jim Edwards effect.
P.P.P. S. I know you wouldn’t remember the question and advice you gave me so here it is. “Jim, I’m in so many mentoring programs from Big Seminar 8, all I do is learn internet crap. How do I make money if all my time is learning this stuff you guys preach? You said, focus and execute what works to grow your business and the money will follow.” Next, I mentioned I loved your Webinar Course presentation, and wanted to buy it. But, silly me I heard the pitch up until the Big Seminar 9 and thought there would be a “special offer” there would purchase it then. When I asked about the calls you were promoting up until that point (sell your webinar course with Chris not Big Seminar 9), your answer was profound, “I said that was the dead line and I meant it. My subscribers know I mean what I say. I do what I say and keep my word.” Jim, you are a man of integrity and an honor to call an inspiration. My Grandfather, also a Virginian, would say the same of the person that you are, and in today’s world, that’s a very rare situation.
P.P.P.P. S. I promise one day to help you to continue to carry that torch of success. I WILL meet you at the top. I realize it is a steep cliff, but nothing will stop me. In the meantime, I will keep plugging away and continue to meticulously follow you instructions like a good mentee / student should.
P.P.P.P.P.S. Are you reading this or some outsourced response clerk?
